The MA in Digital Theology is the first degree of its kind across the world, offering a unique opportunity for theological reflection on digitality and its implications for the contemporary church. It prepares women and men for ministry and mission in a digital age.
Full-time over two years OR part-time over four years.
The units will be taught both through intensive teaching blocks, at Spurgeon’s College’s historic campus in London combined with online seminars with a completely online version of the course available.

Become a Doctor of the Church!
United Seminary have been running a highly successful Doctor of Ministry Course for some years. We are now introducing a special focus group looking Digital Theology for Mission and Ministry.
One way to begin the MA is to take the Postgraduate Certificate in Digital Theology, which can be studied full or part time and offer hybrid block teaching and hybrid seminar learning environments.
The normal entrance requirement is a degree in Theology or Religious Studies or a related subject. Graduates in other disciplines with experience of Theology or Religious Studies to at least Certificate level may be admitted to the programme with the agreement of the Admissions Committee.
Suitably qualified mature students who have undertaken formal academic study to a similar level in non-accredited courses may also be admitted to the programme with the agreement of the Admissions Committee.
Students who successfully complete the Postgraduate Certificate will be permitted by the Progression and Awards Board to proceed to the Postgraduate Diploma. Students who successfully complete the Postgraduate Diploma will be permitted to proceed to the MA in Digital Theology
Additionally this course may suit those involved in ministry who want to explore/sample one of the core units without engaging in the full MA from scratch.
Within the Diploma there are 2 units from the MA Digital Theology modules suite.

Application deadline
International students need to apply by 30 June, the deadline for students that don’t need a visa to study in the UK is 31 August.

The Diploma is suitable for prospective MA students without a first degree in theology, but with some form of taught theological thinking and professional expertise and training. The course can be studied full or part time and offers hybrid block teaching and hybrid seminar learning environments.
Within the Diploma there are 4 units from the MA Digital Theology modules suite: Two core modules; one elective; one research - the main taught elements of the MA in digital theology.

The course consists of 1 unit from the MA DT core modules of Digital Theology or Digitally Mediated Christianity.
This taster offers a way in to PG study with the Centre for Digital Theology allowing students and the College to gauge academic ability before signing up for the full MA.
This course is suitable for prospective students for the MADT. In addition this course is suitable for those involved in ministry who want to explore/sample one of the core units without engaging in the full MA from scratch.
Teaching method
This course is delivered in hybrid block teaching and hybrid seminars.
Access to further PG programmes is dependant on completing this course assessment satisfactorily.

This course offers 30 credits at level 8.

The Hybrid Church course is a five lesson introduction to what is meant by the Hybrid Church.
This course is part of the Theology for Life programme run by Bible Graduate School of Theology in Singapore. Cost is £25 for the whole course.
Lessons include videos from D Peter Phillips and other teachers interspersed with questions for reflection.
The course can be taken on an individual basis or in a small group setting.
There is no written assessment for satisfactory completion of the course.
Academic Credit
Satisfactory completion of this course may lead to access for PG Certificate in Digital Theology.
